We are growing and looking for reliable, hard-working people to join us. We currently have four openings — two full-time and two part-time. Operations & Technology

Full-time, Permanent

IT Officer

We are looking for a capable IT Officer to keep our store systems, website and digital tools running smoothly. You will support our point-of-sale, stock management, online ordering and office IT, helping the business run efficiently every day.

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday (rota basis)

This role is eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship for suitably qualified and experienced candidates.

Key responsibilities

Install, maintain and troubleshoot till (EPOS), stock management and office computer systems
Manage and update the company website, online ordering platform and social media tools
Provide day-to-day IT support to staff and resolve hardware, software and network issues
Set up and maintain CCTV, networking equipment, printers and other store technology
Maintain data backups, software updates and basic cybersecurity measures across the business
Generate sales, stock and performance reports for management from store systems
Liaise with external IT suppliers, software providers and contractors as required
Train staff on the correct use of tills, scanners and other digital equipment

What we are looking for

A degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in IT, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Hands-on experience supporting computer systems, networks and point-of-sale or retail software
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, basic website management and common business software
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
Good spoken and written English to communicate with staff, suppliers and customers
Eligible to work in the UK, or eligible to apply for a Skilled Worker visa with sponsorship from Islamic Superstore

Halal Meat Counter

Full-time, Permanent

Butcher

We are looking for an experienced Butcher to join our busy halal meat counter. You will prepare and cut a wide range of halal meat and poultry to a high standard, while delivering excellent service to our customers.

45 hours per week, including weekends, on a rota basis

This role is eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship for suitably skilled and experienced candidates.

Key responsibilities

Cut, bone, trim and prepare halal meat and poultry to customer and store specifications
Prepare and display a wide range of cuts, mince and marinated products for sale
Ensure all meat is handled and prepared in line with halal requirements at all times
Maintain strict food hygiene, health and safety, and traceability standards (HACCP)
Keep the butchery counter, equipment, knives and storage areas clean, tidy and well organised
Serve customers at the counter, offering advice on cuts, quantities and preparation
Monitor stock levels of meat products and assist with ordering and stock rotation to minimise waste
Work closely with the wider store team to ensure smooth daily operations

What we are looking for

Previous experience working as a butcher or in meat preparation, ideally in a retail or wholesale environment
Good knowledge of halal meat preparation standards and practices
Understanding of food hygiene and safety requirements (a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate is an advantage, training can be provided)
Able to work safely with knives and other butchery equipment
Physically fit and comfortable working in chilled environments for periods of the shift
Good customer service skills and a friendly, professional manner
Eligible to work in the UK, or eligible to apply for a Skilled Worker visa with sponsorship from Islamic Superstore

Cashier

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Cashier to serve customers at our tills and help keep the front of the store running smoothly. This is a great entry-level opportunity in a busy, diverse supermarket environment.

Key responsibilities

Operate the till accurately, processing cash and card payments efficiently
Greet customers in a warm and professional manner and provide a positive checkout experience
Check customer ages and apply age-restriction procedures when required
Keep the checkout area clean, tidy and well stocked with bags and receipt rolls
Assist with price queries, refunds and exchanges following store procedures
Flag pricing errors, stock shortages or suspicious activity to a supervisor
Support colleagues on the shop floor during quieter periods as directed
Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and security procedures

What we are looking for

Good numerical ability and accuracy when handling money and giving change
A friendly, patient and professional approach to customer service
Reliable and punctual, with a strong sense of honesty and integrity
Able to work flexible shifts including Saturdays and some evenings
Previous retail or customer-facing experience is an advantage but not essential — full training provided
Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom

Shop Floor Assistant

We are looking for a hard-working Shop Floor Assistant to keep our store well-stocked, clean and easy to navigate for customers. This is a hands-on role at the heart of daily store operations.

Key responsibilities

Replenish shelves, fridges and freezers with stock, following correct rotation (FIFO) procedures
Receive deliveries, check quantities against delivery notes and report any discrepancies
Ensure all products are correctly priced, labelled and within date at all times
Keep aisles, shelving, floors and storage areas clean, tidy and free of hazards
Assist customers on the shop floor with finding products and answering queries
Work with the store team to ensure promotional displays and signage are set up correctly
Report damaged goods, near-expiry stock and stock shortages to the supervisor
Follow all health and safety, food hygiene and manual handling procedures

What we are looking for

Physically fit and comfortable with manual tasks including lifting, bending and standing for periods
A reliable, hardworking attitude with good attention to detail
Able to work flexible shifts including early mornings, Saturdays and some Bank Holidays
A team player who is happy to get stuck in across different tasks as needed
Previous retail or supermarket experience is an advantage but not required — full training provided
Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom
